Good Morning :)

Been busy here trying to get ready to hopefully open a shop on Etsy in the near future so that's why I haven't posted...Hopefully in a couple of days I will be able to have some samples of my work to show you, but just wanted to let you know what was going on.

We have gotten some time to have some fun and have gone to a bead expo and took a fun class (and added to my stash of course) Also we've seen two flicks at the movies. Sherlock 2...which was good...just not as good as the first. And the long awaited One For The Money...not as good as the book but not bad either....

Found this story disappearing art story online this morning, pretty cool so I thought I'd share:
Disappearing Art

Have a great weekend!!!

Spring is in the air!

Well here we are 7th day of January and still no snow on the ground. My hometown barely got a dusting of a white Christmas and here in Connecticut today it is supposed to be in the 60s. Spring is here at least for now, which is bad considering the impact of global warming of course, but it has inspired me to start focusing on some bright and fresh springy jewelry.  When I think of spring I think of rainbows and flowers, birds, and the trees turning green with new growth. Spring is a time of renewal, of rebirth.  For my color palette I think of pastels in pinks blues and yellows. Bright colors too. I may even throw in some lime green, which I'm normally not very fond of but thanks to my nieces I have learned that it actually makes a nice accent color when combined with royal blue and purple and it also goes well with light blue and magenta.

I have first promised myself that I will catch up on projects before I dive into spring, so keep watching to see what pops up here.

What colors and things pop into your mind when you think of Spring? Feel free to share below and happy beading!

Tuesday

Well it's another snow free day here in CT. Not that I mind, I did miss having a White Christmas though. To me there is always something magical about snow and the way it sparkles especially in the early morning hours. Mind you I did not miss the shoveling or the ice.

I have been trying to be productive this morning, haven't gotten very far, but the thought is what counts right? Actually I have been sitting here and untangling cord so that I can get moving on the OTTBS January challenge. I have a grand idea in my head, just not sure how it's going to turn out yet.

Other then that, not much else going on aside from procrastination on the organizing front.

Was enjoying watching Morning Glory until Netflix died...

Ok now I'm just blabbering on....so I'll sign off before I go off on any random tangents that make no sense whatsoever except to the voices running amok inside my head.

Good Morning Everyone!

Still trying to wake up here...on my second glass of pop for the day. One caveat of the whole living healthy goal is that I need to cut down on caffeine.  That being the case I refuse to give up chocolate. I have given up caffeine before..cold turkey...but needless to say it didn't last long.

Have a great day!

Happy New Year!

As 2012 rings in I have decided to start blogging. Most of what you will see here will be totally random, but hopefully as I get the chaos somewhat organized I hope to post more about our jewelry as we add to our stock.

Currently Van (my husband) and I are in the process of getting ready to move, hence the chaos that needs organizing. We could end up anywhere from Saskatchewan to Timbuktu...relatively speaking so it should be interesting to say the least.

I also have decided not to do any NY resolutions this year! Why? because they are usually the same and usually pan out the same way...(I love food and chocolate too much!)

I instead will set one simple goal for myself which is to live healthier. Which yes involves eating the right foods, portion control, and exercise, but it also means embracing life, and not sweating the small stuff so much.

After losing my mother last year, I realized life is too short not to embrace it. So I ask of you to embrace it too! Remember to have fun, be thankful, and give when and where you can. Pay it forward!

Peace and Good Tidings to you all in 2012!
